There’re a million things on my mind right now.
Alma Mater, family, friends and loved ones.
It hasn’t been easy these few months, really.
It’s hard to prioritize sometimes, but I always try my best
I really do.
You guys are going to be the reason why I will survive at foreign land,
When I’m all alone in the dense jungle lying on my A-frame at night,
with the nearest guy 50m away.
I only think of so much,
to keep me going on for 3 weeks.
For me, it’s more than sufficient.

A visit to Grandma’s

I’ll got not much time these weeks so I do travel all the way to toa payoh to see her when I’ve the time. Even for an hour is good conversation time.

Life in camp on a sunday 8am

Aloha folks it’s the first time I’m writing in camp.
It’s a beautiful sunday morning though, cool as it is.
Confinement isn’t that bad after all.
Washing of clothes, eating of the favourite tomyam cup noodles in the room and best of all, SLEEEEEEPING.

Serving as an usher for the commmissioning parade wasn’t that bad after all.
The amount of red packets made it all worthwhile HAHA KIDDING.
There were KFC coupons, tissue papers and even 4D tickets for the weekend.

But it was more of the little pieces of notes they write, that really touched my heart.
Almost every red packet contained words of encouragement, sincerity and heartfelt warmth.
Sounds pretty gay but after all that OCS has to offer, the tough trainings and mental tiredness, these notes mean alot and serve as motivation to me.

As I looked towards these newly-commissioned Officers with their proud parents, my eyes were filled with innocent envy, wishing that I could be the one walking down with the bar on my shoulders.
It’s going to be another 5 months and 27 days until the big day. Mentally and physically tiring as it is, I’m looking ahead…I really am.
